The Rainbow
Christina Georgina Rossetti
The poem talks about the beauty of the nature specially the rainbow. The poet compares the man-made objects like boats and ships that sails on the river with the natural flow of the clouds that sails across the sky. While the boats and the ships are described as beautiful, the poet finds the clouds sailing across the sky even more beautiful but above all according to the poet the rainbow is the prettiest of all the things mentioned in the poem. The sky joined the land to the sky as a bridge. Through all of these the poet wants to tell us that anything made by nature are more beautiful than anything made by we the human beings.
